Exclamation Important JAILBREAK Info: Should You Update To iOS 15 or Stay on iOS 14.8 / 14.7 / 14.6 - EXPLAINED
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-29-2022, 02:27 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we're discussing whether you should update your device to iOS 15.3 RC, or stay on iOS 14.6, iOS 14.7, iOS 14.7.1, or iOS 14.8 waiting for a jailbreak. This is particularly a dilemma for those who have newer iOS devices that are not supported by Unc0ver Jailbreak on iOS 14.8 / 14.6 because of the lack of a kernel exploit.

The answer is no, you should not update. iOS 15 has changed a lot in terms of security, and even though there are kernel exploits and vulnerabilities up to iOS 15.3.1 and Taurine will be updated for iOS 15, the jailbreak for iOS 15 will be limited as they will all be rootless. If you stay on iOS 14, you will eventually enjoy a full jailbreak. More info in the video.

Exclamation IMPORTANT Jailbreak PSA: Fugu15 iOS 15.0 - iOS 15.4 Untethered JAILBREAK Debunked!
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-28-2022, 03:42 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing the Fugu15 Untethered iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.4 Jailbreak that was posted on GitHub. We're going to debunk the Fugu15 tool and take a look at it. This phony jailbreak was brought to my attention by some viewers on Twitter and it's a copy of Fugu14 + Unc0ver Jailbreak is a real and legitimate untethered jailbreak tool.

The Fugu15, however, has nothing real to do with Fugu14 and the author of the fake GitHub repo appears to use that to attract people who are looking for a jailbreak. All the links on the fake Fugu15 repo go to a fake Taig9 website which is also an impersonation of the real Taig Jailbreak. The fake TAIG9 website contains fake jailbreak tools which can even prove malicious. Be careful.

Lightbulb iOS 15 - 15.3.1 JAILBREAK Update: iOS 15.3 RC STILL SIGNED! Downgrade While You Can (Good For JB!)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-27-2022, 12:31 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we have an important announcement. While the API developed by m1sta for fetching the signed Betas was broken for a few days, iOS 15.3 RC remains signed. This means you can still save the blobs or downgrade to it using FutureRestore. Aside from this beta, only iOS 15.4 is also signed which is not vulnerable to known bugs at the moment so it's bad for jailbreak.

iOS 15.3 RC is vulnerable to the kernel vulnerability posted by Synacktiv a week and a half ago. If turned into an exploit, that can be incorporated into Taurine and Unc0ver Jailbreak to update them all the way up to iOS 15.3.1, at least for some devices. This is your last chance to downgrade before Apple unsigns it.

Heart iOS 15 - 15.1.1 JAILBREAK Update: A8-A15 Jailbreak CONFIRMED & Taurine Update Released! (For 14)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-25-2022, 06:41 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we're covering the current status of the Taurine Jailbreak which Coolstar has announced will soon be updated for iOS 15.0 up to iOS 15.1.1. According to Coolstar, iOS 15.2 Beta 1 will officially no longer be included in the release. All devices will go up to iOS 15.1.1 (where it applies) or iOS 15.1. They also confirmed A8-A15 jailbreak will come in the same tool, the same release, instead of separate releases.

Taurine was also recently updated to version 1.1.3 which brings libhooker 1.6.9 to Taurine, runs uicache for Sileo for first-time users, and adds support for custom dyld shared caches. This update is for iOS 14. The iOS 15 update is in development.

Exclamation iOS 15.0 - 15.3.1 JAILBREAK Info: Do THIS RIGHT NOW While iOS 15.3 RC IS Still SIGNED!
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-23-2022, 04:47 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

If you're planning to jailbreak your iOS 15 device, you should definitely go ahead and save your iOS 15.3 RC blobs. Apple has stopped signing iOS 15.3.1 today following the iOS 15.4 release, but iOS 15.3 RC as well as some early iOS 15.4 Betas are still signed and are vulnerable to Synacktiv's kernel vulnerability that can be used for a jailbreak. Taurine Jailbreak team already announced some devices will get a jailbreak up to 15.3.1.

Taurine Jailbreak will come in two rounds. The first round is going to be for the iPhone X and older devices. Those can be jailbroken up to iOS 15.3.1 thanks to Synacktiv's kernel bug PoC released a week ago. The same kernel vulnerability would work on iPhone XS and newer (A12+) but those will only be supported up to 15.1.1 for now because of the new security mitigations.

Star iOS 15.0 - 15.3.1 JAILBREAK Announced: Taurine15 To Be RELEASED Soon (15.0 - 15.1.1 For A12+)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-19-2022, 07:53 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we have great news coming from Coolstar and the Taurine Jailbreak Team. They've announced that Taurine15 will be updated soon using BinaryBoy / Tihmstar's kernel exploit for iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.1.1 / 15.2 Beta 1 on A12+ devices, and iOS 15.0 to basically iOS 15.3.1 in the future for A11 and lower devices because those aren't affected by the latest security mitigations.

So this jailbreak will come in two stages. The first stage is for the iPhone X and lower devices. Those can be jailbroken up to iOS 15.3.1 thanks to Synacktiv's kernel bug PoC released a few days ago. The same vulnerability would work on iPhone XS and newer (A12+) but those will only be supported up to 15.1.1 for now because of the new security mitigations.

NEW iOS 15.2 - 15.3.1 JAILBREAK Kernel Vuln RELEASED! Things Are Looking Good! (Unc0ver / Taurine)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-17-2022, 09:50 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, I have great news for those who missed the opportunity to stay on iOS 15.1.1 and lower and to use Brightiup's kernel exploit. Today, a brand new kernel vulnerability patched in the newly released iOS 15.4 has been released and it works all the way up to iOS 15.3.1! This means you can still jailbreak in the near future even if you updated to 15.3.1, although updating is not recommended if you are on lower iOS versions.

A few days ago, a kernel read/write primitive was released that jailbreak developers can use to escape the sandbox, get root, patch process memory, and build the jailbreak the way you know it. Jailbreaking on iOS 15 seems to start taking shape.

Star iOS 15.0 - iOS 15.1.1 JAILBREAK News: New Jailbreak Component RELEASED! Kernel Stable R/W
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-15-2022, 10:14 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we're discussing the latest developments in the jailbreak community, especially for those of you waiting on iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.1.1, possibly even iOS 15.2 Beta 1. Developer tihmstar has just released stable kernel read/write primitives for iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.1.1. This jailbreak component is crucial in applying the necessary patches that are used to create the jailbreak.

Using the kernel read/write primitives jailbreak developers can escape the sandbox, get root, patch process memory, and build the jailbreak the way you know it. As such, it's an important component to have. This is based on Brightiup's kernel exploit released a week or so ago.

Star iOS 15.0 - iOS 15.4 CheckRa1n JAILBREAK Update: Even More Progress Done! (A Jailbreak With Cydia)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-06-2022, 07:35 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

If you are waiting for checkra1n jailbreak to be updated for iOS 15, you would be pleased to know that Siguza is making progress updating several components of the checkra1n jailbreak in the background. After some updates were open-sourced a few weeks ago on GitHub, today yet another component was updated by Siguza on the CheckRa1n repo.

The main issue that prevents checkra1n from working on iOS 15 is Apple's addition of sealed ROOT FS on iOS 15.0. CheckRa1n isn't technically patched, but it needs to defeat the sealed ROOT FS first before it can work. It seems that the checkra1n team is making great progress towards that. Checkra1n jailbreak works on iPhone X and lower.

Star iOS 15.0 - iOS 15.2 (b1) Electra JAILBREAK v5.0 Announced To Be RELEASED! A Jailbreak With Tweaks!
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 03-06-2022, 05:20 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

Today, I have great news for all of you who are waiting for a jailbreak on iOS 15. Coolstar has announced that Electra Jailbreak v5.0 will be released soon following the kernel exploit release from security researcher BinaryBoy a few days ago. This jailbreak will likely support iOS 15.0 all the way up to iOS 15.1.1 on stable firmware, and iOS 15.2 Beta 1 on the beta firmware.

iOS 15.2 Beta 2 and newer will, unfortunately, not be supported by Electra Jailbreak 5 because the kernel exploit does not work on those newer versions. This jailbreak will also be rootless instead of a traditional remount-based jailbreak which means that tweaks will have to be updated. Sileo is the default package manager that will come with Electra 5 Jailbreak.
