In today's video, we're discussing AppSync Unified Tweak and its update that has been released by developer Karen (angelXwind) a couple of hours ago, for iOS 14.8. The update targets checkra1n jailbreak for now because it's the only jailbreak currently available for iOS 14.8, but as more jailbreaks get updated in the future, you will be able to use AppSync even on other devices.

The update does just that. It adds support for iOS 14.8. No bug fixes or other changes appear to have been made. For those of you who are new, AppSync allows you to install apps in IPA format without having to codesign them with your developer account. This is very useful if you wanna install a specific version of an app.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to jailbreak your iOS 14.8 or iOS 14.7.1 iDevice using CheckRa1n and get Cydia and Tweaks running. The jailbreak is semi-tethered and supports iOS 14.8 all the way down to iOS 12. Do keep in mind that iOS 15 is not yet supported. This jailbreak supports all pre-A12 devices.

In this guide, I will show you step by step how to install checkra1n on your phone, tablet, or iPod, and then how to install and configure Cydia and its initial package updates. iOS 14.8 fixes a major security risk, a bug called NSO Pegasus that has been used in the wild. So, if you're checkra1n-compatible device is running iOS 14.7.1 or lower, it is indeed recommended that you update to iOS 14.8 to mitigate the Pegasus bug and stay safe.

In today's video, we're discussing the release of iOS 14.8, and the very major security risk it patches. iOS 14.7.1 is vulnerable, and every other version lower than iOS 14.8 is considered unsafe when it comes to the NSO Pegasus spyware that has been reported to Apple by CitizenLab. It's advised that you update to iOS 14.8 as soon as possible if you do not care about jailbreaking your device.

While the Pegasus NSO targets usually high-profile individuals, rather than the average Joe, if you do not care about jailbreaking your device it's highly recommended that you update to the latest software version (14.8) to mitigate the risks. Apple has pushed 14.8 with only two vulnerabilities patched. More details in the video.

In today's video, we're discussing a brand new XNU Race Condition vulnerability PoC that was released by Alibaba Security Researcher @Peterpan0927. According to them, the bug was patched in iOS 15 RC and it works on iOS 14.7.1 down to iOS 14.0 on all devices including A12, A13, and A14. The open-source PoC released is accessible from the sandbox and as such, it's usable for jailbreak.

The proof of concept (PoC) released by Peterpan0927 is available now on Git and it can be tested on any iOS version from iOS 14.0 to iOS 14.7.1 and macOS 11.0.2. It's unknown for now if this will be usable in Unc0ver Jailbreak or Taurine Jailbreak, but do know it was released and it looks interesting.

In today's video, we're discussing how you can save your iOS SHSH2 blobs for iOS 14.7.1 and iOS 14.8 in order to be able to downgrade or upgrade in the future, once a jailbreak is released. As you may be aware, Apple does not let you downgrade or upgrade freely to any iOS version you want. By saving these blobs you give yourself a chance to be able to jump to the right version once a jailbreak is out.

Of course, you should save them right now, because with iOS 14.8 already released and iOS 15 Beta being in Release Candidate, Apple will likely stop signing iOS 14.7.1 soon. Once an iOS version becomes unsigned by Apple there's no way whatsoever for you to save the blobs or downgrade/upgrade

unless you use the Enterprise method which works 90 days.

In today's video I have great news for everybody interested in jailbreaking iOS 14.5.1, iOS 14.5, iOS 14.4.2, iOS 14.4.1, or iOS 14.4, but also for people on iOS 14.3 and lower. In today's video we've got pretty good news for the jailbreak community, especially for the folks waiting on iOS 14.7.1, iOS 14.6, and so on, on A14 devices and older. A brand new XNU vulnerability was announced that might be usable for jailbreak purposes. I've talked with the developer in private, and they've confirmed they will likely release the vulnerability and a PoC (proof of concept code) which might be useful for us.

According to the developer, this is a Type Confusion bug in XNU (iOS Kernel). The photo they posted was a crash log from iOS 14.7.1 on iPhone 12,1 confirming the vulnerability was only patched in iOS 15 Beta. This could be useful.

Hi There, I'm wondering if there is a possibility to disable the camera Swipe on Lock screen but keep the Button working? I'm on an iPhone X on IOS 14.3 Un0ver.

I Already tried a bunch of different tweaks, but none of them worked the way i'd like them to.

All of them disable the swipe and the button, no tweak handles the swipe and the button individually, even tho some tweaks offer exactly that option.

Maybe there is a tweak out there of which I didn't know, or maybe someone of you wants to make a flex patch or something like that?

Today we have an important update to Sileo, the package manager designed to replace the now old and slow Cydia. Sileo is the default package manager from which you install your tweaks and themes on most jailbreaks developed by Coolstar, such as Odyssey, Taurine, and Chimera, but it's also present on Unc0ver and CheckRa1n (Betelgeuse) thanks to other developers.
The update released by the Odyssey Team is a major stability one fixing many crashes and memory issues.

Coolstar has also announced LibHooker for iOS 15 Beta is currently passing tests. LibHooker is the equivalent of Substitute / Substrate on Unc0ver, and it's what powers the tweaks and allows them to load and work on a jailbroken device, as such it's a major and critical component of the jailbreak. Having it running on iOS 15 ALREADY is a pretty surprising feat.
