Today we're discussing some news in the jailbreak community, this time coming from developer @xina520. They appear to have achieved a fully functional rootless jailbreak for what appears to be iOS 15, with tweaks seemingly working as well. Recently, they have also open-sourced a few jailbreak components that I have covered in the previous news video.

We know for sure that the Taurine team has also managed to get amfid task port, but this release could still prove beneficial. Not much is known about xina520's technique because the original posts are in Chinese, but the code is pretty self-explanatory. If you are waiting for a jailbreak on iOS 15, definitely stay tuned.

In this video, we're discussing the newly released unofficial checkra1n jailbreak for Windows. The release came out of the blue and it appears to work on Windows. Yes, a real checkra1n for windows, not the Linux USB flash drive method from the past. A real checkra1n jailbreak that can jailbreak iOS 12.0 up to iOS 14.8 on Pre-A12 devices.

The only issue that exists with this release is that it comes from an unofficial source (not released by the checkra1n team) and some antimalware tools throw a fit when they scan it, most likely because of the obfuscation. As such, I recommend you be cautious with it.

In today's video, we're discussing a brand new iOS vulnerability writeup released by Ian Beer of Google Project Zero, that was posted on Twitter a couple of hours ago. It seems to have caused some confusion in the community so I'd like to clear up some of this confusion.

While Ian Beer's writeup was indeed posted today, the vulnerability in cause is not. It has been patched back on iOS 14.4. Some of you sent me the link to the write-up, others have tagged me on Twitter, so I believe people didn't read it all the way through, but yes, it's a case of new write-up, old vulnerability. It could be used for a jailbreak but we already have jailbreaks for iOS 14.3 and lower so there would be no point.

In this video, we're discussing a brand new vulnerability PoC that was released compatible with iOS 15.0 all the way up to iOS 15.3.1. The vulnerability was announced on Twitter a few days ago and it appears a PoC for macOS was also released.

It is possible that this vulnerability could be useful for jailbreak purposes in the future, so it's best to not update past iOS 15.4 because it was already patched there. Whether Taurine Jailbreak or Unc0ver Jailbreak will use it in the future is unknown, but it's best to not update.

Today we're discussing the latest progress on Taurine15 Jailbreak Coolstar and the Odyssey Team. According to Coolstar and Tihmstar, they've successfully achieved amfid read / write task port, which means CodeSign has successfully been defeated on iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.1.1. This was necessary to be able to run tweaks on the device.

This is indeed great news for those of you waiting for a jailbreak on iOS 15.0 up to iOS 15.1.1. Do keep in mind iOS 15.2 will not be supported by Taurine15 for now.

In today's video, we're discussing the latest Taurine Jailbreak news and progress. As some of you may already be aware, Taurine Jailbreak developed by Odyssey Team / Coolstar is currently being updated for iOS 15.0 all the way up to iOS 15.1.1. For iOS 15.2 Beta 1, we now have confirmation from Coolstar that A12+ devices won't be supported, while A11 and lower may be supported in the future.

If you are waiting for a jailbreak, your best bet is to stay as low as possible for now. According to Coolstar, the main developer from Odyssey Team, iOS 15.2 does complicate things, and it's best to stay on iOS 15.1.1 and lower for now.

In today's video, we have bad news to discuss for those of you who are waiting for an iOS 15 Jailbreak. Apple has just stopped signing the iOS 15.3 RC beta which was a good version for jailbreak purposes, leaving only iOS 15.4 signed now which is terrible for jailbreaking.

The iOS 15.3 RC stayed signed for a lot of time, so if you saved your SHSH2 blobs or have downgraded from 15.4 to it using FutureRestore, then you should be fine. There's a Kernel vulnerability PoC released already by Synacktiv. It may take a while for it to be used in either Taurine or Unc0ver, but there's hope.

In this video, we're discussing whether you should update your device to iOS 15.3 RC, or stay on iOS 14.6, iOS 14.7, iOS 14.7.1, or iOS 14.8 waiting for a jailbreak. This is particularly a dilemma for those who have newer iOS devices that are not supported by Unc0ver Jailbreak on iOS 14.8 / 14.6 because of the lack of a kernel exploit.

The answer is no, you should not update. iOS 15 has changed a lot in terms of security, and even though there are kernel exploits and vulnerabilities up to iOS 15.3.1 and Taurine will be updated for iOS 15, the jailbreak for iOS 15 will be limited as they will all be rootless. If you stay on iOS 14, you will eventually enjoy a full jailbreak. More info in the video.

In today's video, we're discussing the Fugu15 Untethered iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.4 Jailbreak that was posted on GitHub. We're going to debunk the Fugu15 tool and take a look at it. This phony jailbreak was brought to my attention by some viewers on Twitter and it's a copy of Fugu14 + Unc0ver Jailbreak is a real and legitimate untethered jailbreak tool.

The Fugu15, however, has nothing real to do with Fugu14 and the author of the fake GitHub repo appears to use that to attract people who are looking for a jailbreak. All the links on the fake Fugu15 repo go to a fake Taig9 website which is also an impersonation of the real Taig Jailbreak. The fake TAIG9 website contains fake jailbreak tools which can even prove malicious. Be careful.
