Heart iOS 14.5.1 / 14.5 / 14.4 JAILBREAK News: New Kernel Vuln ANNOUNCED! | All We Know
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-10-2021, 08:43 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

Today we're discussing a brand new kernel vulnerability for iOS 14.5.1, iOS 14.5, iOS 14.4.2, iOS 14.4.1, and iOS 14.4, that was announced by IT security student Stefan on Twitter. Apparently, the vulnerability lies in CommCenter and has been patched by Apple in iOS 14.6, making it usable on iOS 14.5.1 and lower for devices with ICE19 Intel Baseband.

We don't know a lot about this vulnerability for now. At the time I am writing this, the vulnerability announcement is still breaking news, but I assume we'll get more information in the future. We do know from Stefan that it's part of his thesis which is drawing to an end, so we might see this released for the jailbreak community in the near future.

Question NEW iOS SandBox Share CTF Exploit RELEASED! - How Useful Is It For JAILBREAK?
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-09-2021, 08:58 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing a brand new CTF Exploit solution released for the Sandbox Share CTF, and whether or not it can be used for jailbreak purposes on iOS 14. I am making this video as many of you DMed me and asked me if this is useful for jailbreak reasons.

The CTF solution was published by Synacktiv yesterday on their GitHub and it's apparently for macOS but they also mention iOS XPC in the title of their Twitter post. I suppose the techniques are, indeed, usable from one system to another, but is it really useful for any jailbreak work? We'll find out in the video.

Video How To Unlock Your iPhone / iPad With Forgotten Passcode Using UnlockGo
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-06-2021, 04:26 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

Buying a second-hand device has its advantages if you're short on cash and you need a new phone, but it can also have serious pitfalls. The same mechanisms that can be used to ensure you can track your phone in case you lose it can actually be used to lock yourself out of your device if you make a wrong step. Setting a passcode accidentally, or setting a way too complex one and then forgetting it is the leading cause for users getting locked out of their iPhones.

iToolLab has a solution called UnlockGo, that we're going to explore in today's review. It can handle multiple scenarios including forgotten passcode, Screen Time passcode, MDM, and so on. Do keep in mind that the unlock passcode option will not bypass iCloud. You will need to provide the credentials to prove the device is yours after the restore.

Heart Major JAILBREAK NEWS: Safari JAILBREAK Achieved (A12 Too) + MAJOR Security Risk (iOS 14.0 - 14.3)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-02-2021, 08:45 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, I have great news, but also some bad news for the jailbreak community. At first, the great news. An iOS 14.0 to iOS 14.3 Safari-based jailbreak was achieved and demoed by security researcher pattern-f. If this gets released, you will no longer need to sign IPAs for Unc0ver or Taurine Jailbreak and you'll be able to jailbreak directly from Safari on your device. Neat!

However, there's also bad news. The vulnerability found by pattern-f that makes this kind of jailbreak possible is so powerful that it represents a major security risk for people running iOS 14.0 to iOS 14.3 currently, even for those on A12+. There's currently no tweak to fix this, and the only fix right now is updating to iOS 14.7.1 which means losing your jailbreak, so be careful what you tap.

Lightbulb NEW iOS 14.7.1 - 14.0 Cydia Alternative RELEASED! Saily (Beta) Demo & Review (It's Amazing!)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 08-30-2021, 08:07 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, we have a great new Cydia / Sileo alternative released as fully Open-Source in Beta by the Saily Team. Saily Package Manager is a modern-looking and feature-rich package manager for all jailbroken iOS devices including iOS 14.7.1 and lower (yes, it works on checkra1n too). You can install it and try it even if you use Cydia or Sileo / Zebra and you don't have to remove your current package manager.

Even though Saily is in Beta, it has a lot of features and it actually can install packages fast and easily. Most of the components are already done and while more work is required before a stable release is made, it's already pretty useful as it is. A nice feature it has is that it can automatically import all the repos from other package managers so that you don't have to manually import them.

Star Manticore JAILBREAK (A12+) Great NEWS: Install Any Package Manager + Demo On Device
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 08-28-2021, 07:58 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we're discussing some great news about Manticore Jailbreak, which will now allow the user to install any of the popular package managers, rather than being limited to just Cydia, Sileo, or Zebra. As progress is being made, a new UI update was pushed on GitHub which allows the user to select the package manager to be installed once the jailbreak process is complete, making Manticore the only jailbreak to bundle all available package managers.

Amongst the currently supported options, we have Sileo, Cydia, Installer 5, and Zebra, all of them being popular and having their own user base. Manticore Jailbreak is fully open source which allows anybody to contribute to the project, compared to jailbreaks like Unc0ver which have become closed source and heavily obfuscated.

Exclamation Manticore JAILBREAK Was RELEASED As Open-Source (And It's Quite A Great Project)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 08-24-2021, 10:24 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

Today I have some great news for those of you who were waiting for the Manticore Jailbreak to be revealed. The Open Sourced repository is now available on GitHub publicly, as it was released by the Manticore Team a few hours ago. The code is fully available for anybody to check and improve.
The Manticore Team develops both the Manticore Jailbreak and the Pwn-My Jailbreak which is another open-source Safari-based jailbreak.

While the Manticore Jailbreak isn't complete, most of its components have been finished and the work is nearing completion. Initially, the jailbreak will support iOS 14.0 to iOS 14.3 as it takes advantage of cicuta_virosa, but support will be extended in the future once a new kernel vulnerability gets released for iOS 14.4+.

Problems with switching from Taurine back to Unc0ver
Posted by: jjwo - 08-23-2021, 06:34 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - Replies (1)

I'm on ios 14.3 iPhone Xs Max and I decided to switch over from taurine back to Unc0ver. I am usingUnc0ver 6.2.0 and used taurine 1.0.7. My facetime is not working sometimes and now I noticed that my notes and weather app doesn't load sometimes as well. When I try to airdrop something nothing pops up and I can't send it to anyone. Is there a way to fix any of these things?

Star VERY Important JAILBREAK Update Released: Prevent Bootloops & Losing Jailbreak With Startup Repair
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 08-21-2021, 08:45 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we're discussing a very important update released to the Taurine Jailbreak a couple of days ago. The Odyssey Team has added a brand new feature that has the potential to prevent bootloops and thus save your jailbreak in case of file corruption or if a tweak goes wrong and sends you into a bootloop. This would also help you avoid having to update to the latest iOS version and losing your jailbreak.

The feature called "Startup Repair" by the Odyssey Team is now present in Taurine Jailbreak and it triggers in the case of bootloop. According to the update changelog, Startup Repair will fix any bootloop issues caused by a file being corrupted during userspace reboot.
