In today's video, we're discussing the latest news regarding the iOS 15.0 - 15.5 Jailbreak for all devices. Independent developer, xina520, has recently announced that they've successfully tested Sileo and libsubstrate on iOS 15.1 on their device. Both Sileo and the tweaks appear to be running fine from their screenshots. This is an unusual combination as Sileo usually comes paired with LibHooker and Cydia comes paired with Substrate or Substitute.

Xina520 has released multiple useful snippets of code, especially related to iOS 15 code signing that developers like the Odyssey Team can use in their tools. I am also working currently on Blizzard Jailbreak for iOS 15.0 to iOS 16 Beta, but my tool will only work on checkm8 devices. Xina520's tool uses a kernel bug and as such, it would work on all devices, but only up to iOS 15.1.1 right now.

Today I have some good news for the jailbreak community. I am developing my own checkm8-based jailbreak for iOS 15.0 - 16.0 Beta. Since nobody seems to be interested in doing this anymore, I decided to experiment a bit with checkm8 and see what I can do. I did manage to boot a custom Ramdisk and Kernel for now, which is great, and I managed to disable AMFI / CodeSign.

The jailbreak would essentially be like checkra1n and I am planning to have tweaks running, but no promises. There's a lot to do as iOS 15 broke a ton of stuff. I will open source this project later on GitHub so other people can contribute.

Today I have some good news for the jailbreak community. Apple patched 2 major vulnerabilities in iOS 15.6.1 which can potentially be useful for jailbreak development. The first vulnerability is a kernel one and according to Apple's security changelog, it might have been used in the wild. The second one is a WebKit vuln which can be used for a Safari-based jailbreak.

At the same time, the Objective By The Sea conference is fast approaching, and security researcher Linus Henze will present their Fugu15 in about a month. If Fugu14 is anything to go by, Fugu15 will be a massive boost for the jailbreak community.

In today's video, we have some interesting news coming from the Unc0ver Team. It appears that Sam Bingner, the main developer of Unc0ver Jailbreak, has pushed an update for Substitute which adds support for iOS 15.0 all the way up to iOS 16 Beta. Substitute is the framework that allows tweaks to run on Unc0ver Jailbreak.

While there is no official news from Unc0ver Team about possible iOS 15 updates for Unc0ver Jailbreak, there would be no other reason why Substitute was updated as Unc0ver seems to be the only jailbreak that uses Substitute for tweaks.

Today, Apple released iOS 15.6.1 which includes some important patches for a couple of kernel vulnerabilities. iOS 15.6 which is vulnerable to those bugs is still being signed by Apple, but very likely not for a long time. You should go ahead right now and save your SHSH2 blobs for iOS 15.6 using BlobSaver while it's still possible. Once Apple stops signing iOS 15.6, it will be too late.

There are rumors circulating that the vulnerabilities that were patched in iOS 15.6.1 are usable for jailbreak purposes and FreeTheSandbox announced people should stay on iOS 15.6 or lower if they want to jailbreak. It's best to save the Beta blobs too while you are at it.

iOS 15 changes how LibHooker works and these changes affect how tweaks are being developed and loaded. If tweak developers account for these changes correctly in their code, the end user should notice no changes whatsoever on how the tweaks work, but that doesn't mean there is no work needed from tweak developers to make the iOS 15 jailbreak possible.
