In today's video, we're discussing an update and some news related to AltStore, a third-party application system developed by Riley Testut. The application has just received an important update that removes the 3-app limit on iOS 16.1.2 and lower, adds a button to delete temporary files to preserve disk space, and also adds support for iOS 16.4 Beta.

This update also fixed some issues with AltJit on iOS 16.4 making AltStore now fully compatible with iOS 16.4 Beta and lower. AltStore works on all iOS devices. The 3 apps limit fix only works on iOS 14.0 up to iOS 16.1.2, but not on iOS 15.7.1. iOS 16.2 and newer versions cannot have this fix for now.

In today's video, we're discussing a brand new kernel vulnerability (CVE-2023-23514) discovered by Google Project Zero as well as Pangu Team for iOS 16.3 and lower. The vulnerability could potentially be used for jailbreak purposes. Initially, I thought that it wasn't patched yet, but it turns out the vulnerability was patched in iOS 16.3.1, thus making it available for iOS 16.3 and lower. According to Apple, if used, the vulnerability could be used to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.

We're unaware for now whether the vulnerability is 100% usable for jailbreak purposes, but the vulnerability was found independently both by Google Project Zero's Ned Williamson, as well as Pangu Team.

They've released the initial source code for their open-source iOS 15.0 - 15.4.1 permasigned semi-untethered safari-based jailbreak. The jailbreak doesn't require a computer in order to work, and it can be deployed directly from Safari on your iOS device.

Ra1nCloud jailbreak is currently in development so it's not recommended for the general public just yet, but development is going pretty well as far as I can see. Ra1ncloud is based on Fugu15 by Linus Henze and it works on all modern devices.

Today we have some great news coming from security researcher @jmpews who has recently tweeted a screenshot of them achieving fully working SSH on iOS 16.3 on iPhone 14 Pro which is currently the latest iOS device. Essentially, they have a new kernel vuln and they used it along with the Fugu15 bootstrap in order to get something akin to a jailbreak on iOS 16.3 and lower for all devices.

Since their kernel vuln is powerful enough to allow running custom binaries like Dropbear on iOS 16.3, it very likely is powerful enough for a full jailbreak with tweaks and package manager, etc.

In today's video, I have great news for those waiting for an iOS 16 or iOS 15 jailbreak. The Cowabunga application has received several major updates and it now allows more tweaks than ever even without a jailbreak on all devices running iOS 16.1.2 or lower. You can now have home screen themes, lock screen customization, audio tweaks, status bar tweaks and so on.

Cowabunga is also based on MacDirtyCow vuln found by Ian Beer of Google Project Zero which isn't powerful enough for a fully working jailbreak, but the latest enhancements allow it to spawn a lot of nice tweaks and tweaking apps for iOS 16 like Cowabunga.
