In today’s video, we’re discussing a brand new iOS kernel vuln that was released open-source a couple of days ago and was patched on iOS 16.2. We're going to take a look at whether this vulnerability can be used for jailbreak purposes, especially on iOS 16.0 up to iOS 16.1.2 where it is available.
The writeup and proof of concept posted by the security researcher @Muirey03 indicate this could be useful, but a bit challenging due to Apple hardening some of the viable pathways. Still, it might be useful for jailbreak purposes in the future.
