Today we have some great news coming from security researcher @jmpews who has recently tweeted a screenshot of them achieving fully working SSH on iOS 16.3 on iPhone 14 Pro which is currently the latest iOS device. Essentially, they have a new kernel vuln and they used it along with the Fugu15 bootstrap in order to get something akin to a jailbreak on iOS 16.3 and lower for all devices.
Since their kernel vuln is powerful enough to allow running custom binaries like Dropbear on iOS 16.3, it very likely is powerful enough for a full jailbreak with tweaks and package manager, etc.
