They've successfully achieved and released an iOS 15.4.1 and lower kernel vulnerability which could be used for a jailbreak. According to security researcher Ned Williamson, they will also present a brand new technique at BlackHat 2022.

This vulnerability could prove useful for jailbreak developers like Taurine and Unc0ver Team in order to update their tools all the way up to iOS 15.4.1, but it's by no means all it takes. Overall it's a great achievement by a talented security researcher in our community.

A brand new jailbreak called OpenPwnage has been released by what appears to be a new jailbreak developer in our community. While the jailbreak may not be as important, it's for iOS 9.0 to 9.3.6, what is important is that a new developer is interested in developing for iOS.

We do have a serious shortage of jailbreak developers in our community, and every new developer who is brave enough to tackle jailbreaking is welcome. This jailbreak, while fully functional for iOS 9 on 32-Bit devices, is likely more of an exercise to learn how to make a jailbreak from scratch.

With the release of iOS 16 Developer Beta 1, Apple has changed how you run sideloaded applications on the device. In iOS 15 and older, it used to be that you simply sideloaded the application to the device and trusted the developer's Apple ID. Now you must enable Developer Mode first, otherwise, no app will start.

Developer Mode is buried deep in the Privacy and Security section of the settings. It's the last option there and it requires a full device reboot before it can take effect. Nothing else has changed, Apple still enforces the 7 days expiry policy for sideloaded apps with a free Developer account.

In today's video, I will demonstrate how you can use iMyFone's AnyTo software in order to change / spoof your iOS GPS location for all location-based applications and games. This can be helpful if you play games that require you to move around, or if you want to spoof your location for privacy reasons. AnyTo allows you to change the location to anywhere in the world, and it persists until the iOS device is rebooted.

AnyTo can change the location either to a specific point on the map, or to a predefined path, making it look like your device is constantly moving around. You can even define the speed at which your device is moving (for example by foot, by bike, car, etc). The changes are easily reversed with a simple device reboot.

In today's video, we have some unexpected news coming from security researcher @_simo36. They've successfully achieved a kernel exploit with kernel memory read/write capabilities on iOS 15.5 and lower, on iPhone 12 Pro, which means their exploit works on new devices with no issue.

This is a powerful kernel exploit which if released, can be used for a jailbreak like Taurine or Unc0ver, and it can also be used to update FilzaEscaped15 to support even more than iOS 15.1.1. Of course, a kernel exploit is no longer enough for a jailbreak on iOS 15, but it remains a crucial component without which the jailbreak cannot be done.

With the release of iOS 16 Developer Beta 1 today at #wwdc22, new features such as a customizable lock screen, improved Apple Pay, SharePlay in iMessage, better privacy features, and much more was released. The customizable lock screen allows one to pick a custom font, widgets, wallpapers, and even create various animated scenarios.

This is as close as we can get to the lock screen being customizable like it is on jailbroken devices. While many of the features present on jailbreak tweaks aren't here just yet, it's a great step towards more customizability. If you are waiting for a jailbreak, however, I do not recommend updating just for this.

With the release of iOS 16 Developer Beta 1 today at #wwdc22, new features such as a customizable lock screen, improved Apple Pay, SharePlay in iMessage, better privacy features, and much more was released. Many of you have been on iOS 15 for a year now and the jailbreak is still in development, so the question is naturally should you stay on iOS 15 and wait for a jailbreak to be released, or update to iOS 16 Beta and experience the new features?

My recommendation is to stay on iOS 15 for now, not only because iOS 16 Developer Beta is very buggy, but also because aside from the customizable lock screen there's not much to it. You are much better off waiting for Taurine Jailbreak or for Unc0ver to be updated. Taurine is already in development.

Today, Apple held the famous WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) where the iOS 16 was announced. Amongst many other smaller changes, iOS 16 comes with great customizability for the lock screen, allowing you to pick various fonts, colors, and widgets to add to your home screen.

iOS 16.0 Developer Beta is now available in the Apple Developer Portal via either iPSW or a beta profile. While the IPSW method would require a PC, the OTA method via the beta profile doesn't require a computer and it can be done directly from the phone. iOS 16 supports iPhone 8 and newer.

Hello everyone,

I've put together quick a guide on how to change your carrier name (SIM card carrier) using FilzaEscaped15 on iOS 15.0 - 15.1.1. This method doesn't require jailbreak and can be done with the FilzaEscaped that was just released for iOS 15. 

With this method, you can change the name of your carrier in the status bar from say Verizon to anything you want. Works with all carriers.

▶ Fix Various iOS Issues with PhoneRescue, No Data Loss

After it was teased a few days ago by developer @AppleDry05, FilzaEscaped has finally been released to the general public. It allows some jailbreak-like functionality. It's basically Filza File Manager from Cydia, but standalone. It doesn't require a jailbreak to work because it already has the necessary exploit and patches bundled into it to get ROOT and escape the Sandbox to be able to read and write the files. Do keep in mind that on iOS 15, it's rootless (only has access to /var or the User Partition).

FilzaEscaped allows you to fully browse and edit the files in /var which is powerful enough to allow some small degree of customization, but most importantly it allows you to modify all user data/files, even for apps.
