Today we're discussing the latest research released by security expert John Åkerblom, who has recently posted a brand new kernel exploit for iOS 15.1.1 and lower, as well as their presentation slides containing both new and old techniques to obtain Kernel Read / Write which is necessary for jailbreaks.

John's exploit for iOS 15.1.1 is definitely usable for jailbreak purposes and can be used to update both the Unc0ver and Taurine Jailbreaks. While we don't have any words from Pwn20wnd about Unc0ver, Coolstar has already confirmed they may use this new exploit to update Taurine, especially for iOS 14.8.1 and lower, but not only.

▶ Bypass iCloud Activation Instantly with AnyUnlock

In today's video, I will show you how to use iMobie's AnyUnlock software to skip the activation step on iPhone X and older running iOS 14.8 down to iOS 12, and also how to check if the device had components replaced. The program allows you to see the serial numbers of the components inside, such as the motherboard, the battery, the front, and rear camera, and so on. The tool shows you the expected factory component's serial number versus what the device has currently installed inside. This way you can tell if a phone had components swapped/replaced too.

To do this, we're using a program called #AnyUnlock by iMobie. This is a powerful program and as such, please use it responsibly. The information in this video should only be used on the devices you own and that belongs to you. Please do not use it for nefarious reasons.

In today's video, we're discussing @dora2ios' latest development on Kok3shi jailbreak which now supports A9 devices on iOS 9.3.4 and iOS 9.3.5, the first ever jailbreak to support A9 devices. It's hard to believe, but for years if you had iPhone 6S, iPhone SE 2016 or iPhone 6S Plus, you couldn't jailbreak iOS 9.3.4 and iOS 9.3.5. It's now finally possible.

Kok3shi is a fully open source jailbreak (source was made public by developer on GitHub), and while not very well tested, according to the community it works fine. It comes with Cydia and you can install tweaks too.

If you're interested in jailbreaking your iOS device, you have probably at least once dealt with the idea of downgrading or upgrading with saved SHSH2 blobs. It's not as easy as it may sound, and some very important factors must be taken into consideration to ensure the downgrade/upgrade can be done and the SEP and Baseband are compatible.

But what really is SEP and Baseband? What is a Blob? What is a Nonce Generator? When are they compatible and when are they not? All of these have been explained in detail in a blog post I made a few weeks ago on my website. If you need any of these concepts clarified, definitely check it out.

Today we're discussing the status of iOS Jailbreak for iOS 14.6, iOS 14.7, iOS 14.7.1, and iOS 14.8 on the devices that were previously left behind by Unc0ver Jailbreak when it was updated to support iOS 14.8 a few months ago. The bug used in the previous Unc0ver Jailbreak update wasn't working on iPadOS models as well as A14+.

A couple of days ago, security researcher Jon Akerblom has published an open-source kernel exploit for iOS 15 that can be backported to iOS 14.8 and lower, thus making updating Unc0ver Jailbreak possible. It's not known for now if Pwn20wnd would take this on, but if they decide to update the tool, you should not update to iOS 15 because an updated Unc0ver for iOS 14.8 will not be rootless, unlike the iOS 15 jailbreaks.

In today's video, I have pretty good news for the community of iOS enthusiasts watching this channel. A brand new kernel exploit with R/W primitives has been open-sourced on Github after the ZeroCon Security Conference in Seoul, a couple of days ago. This could be used to create a new iOS Jailbreak for iOS 14.7 all the way up to iOS 15.1.1 on all devices, thus allowing us to customize our phones with themes, custom icons, tweaks, and much more, once again.

We already have an exploit for iOS 15, but that one doesn't support iOS 14 too. Not to mention that this new one seems to use brand new techniques that haven't been used as much before, which is a great step towards continuing the jailbreak legacy.

They appear to have achieved a fully functional rootless jailbreak for what appears to be iOS 15, with tweaks seemingly working as well. Recently, they have also open-sourced a few jailbreak components that I have covered in the previous news video.

We know for sure that the Taurine team has also managed to get amfid task port, but this release could still prove beneficial. Not much is known about xina520's technique because the original posts are in Chinese, but the code is pretty self-explanatory. If you are waiting for a jailbreak on iOS 15, definitely stay tuned.

In this video, we're discussing the newly released unofficial checkra1n jailbreak for Windows. The release came out of the blue and it appears to work on Windows. Yes, a real checkra1n for windows, not the Linux USB flash drive method from the past. A real checkra1n jailbreak that can jailbreak iOS 12.0 up to iOS 14.8 on Pre-A12 devices.

The only issue that exists with this release is that it comes from an unofficial source (not released by the checkra1n team) and some antimalware tools throw a fit when they scan it, most likely because of the obfuscation. As such, I recommend you be cautious with it.

In today's video, we're discussing a brand new iOS vulnerability writeup released by Ian Beer of Google Project Zero, that was posted on Twitter a couple of hours ago. It seems to have caused some confusion in the community so I'd like to clear up some of this confusion.

While Ian Beer's writeup was indeed posted today, the vulnerability in cause is not. It has been patched back on iOS 14.4. Some of you sent me the link to the write-up, others have tagged me on Twitter, so I believe people didn't read it all the way through, but yes, it's a case of new write-up, old vulnerability. It could be used for a jailbreak but we already have jailbreaks for iOS 14.3 and lower so there would be no point.
