Says not in DFU mode but I am?
Posted by: deathmill - 11-06-2019, 01:06 AM - Forum: iCloud Bypass Research - Replies (1)

i downloaded img4tool from https://github.com/tihmstar/img4tool.git but once i downloaded it, the img4tool is a folder and not a unix file? can anyone help me? im watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rA5pogxROks&t=29sand he has his img4tool as a unix file and not a folder. i downloaded a separate img4tool that was compiled and it seems to be a unix file.. i followed the instructions on the video using chmod 775 and dragging and dropping the img4 and the img4tool. and after that, i changed the directory and did cd and dragged the pwndfu-master folder into the terminal. once i dragged it in the terminal i did ./ipwndfu -p to run it right? so after i run it i usually get an error. its supposed to say, "device is already in pwned DFU Mode" but mine says it's not in the DFU mode when i got it in the dfu mode... the video also says that if the itunes recovery mode thing pops up, you're in recovery mode and your screen would be black. So I am certain that i'm in the DFU mode but it tells me that i'm not in the DFU mode, please help!

  iOS 13.x / iOS 12.x / iOS 11 DOWNGRADE: FutureRestore + CheckM8 Updated + MORE
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-05-2019, 05:39 AM - Forum: iOS Downgrade Corner - No Replies

In this video, we're tackling the topic of iOS #downgrades, following a few important updates to #FutureRestore by developer @tihmstar. He has recently updated FutureRestore with Odysseus64 support to be able to use the CheckM8 exploit to downgrade to any iOS version on the compatible devices (iPhone X all the way down to iPhone 4S and everything in-between).

However, the research hit a snag when @tihmstar realized the saved APTicket still won't do because you don't know the generator that made that apticket in the first place. He also was quick to point out that SEP and Baseband compatibility plays a crucial role in iOS downgrades, so in this video, I decided to explain why is that, and what are the SEP and the Baseband anyways.

Understanding the limitation imposed by SEP and Baseband upon iOS downgrades would help people save their SHSH2 blobs properly and understand what downgrades can and cannot be done.

Rainbow iOS 13.1.3 / 13 / 12.4.1 Unc0ver JAILBREAK News: NEW Kernel Bug PoC Released!
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-04-2019, 04:27 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing a new iOS 13.1.3 down to iOS 12.4.1 Kernel Bug PoC that was released by @machport, as well as some important guidelines released by Unc0ver Jailbreak developer, @Pwn20wnd. In a series of tweets made a few hours ago, Pwn20wnd gives some important pieces of advice for those who wanna Jailbreak their devices on iOS 13.x and iOS 12.4.1 / iOS 12.4.2, especially for the A12 and A13 devices.

The kernel bug released by @S0rryMyBad a few days ago seems to have sparked Pwn20wnd's interest, as just a few minutes after @machport posted his PoC for that bug on GitHub, Pwn20wnd posted his guidelines regarding the best iOS versions to stay on if you want to jailbreak with #Unc0ver in the future. It seems that the kernel bug released by @S0rryMyBad may, in fact, be exploitable into getting tfp0. Even with tfp0, @Pwn20wnd warns that A12 and A13 devices still need more work for a Jailbreak to be achieved, so he recommends staying on iOS 12 where possible.

Question Why is CheckRa1n called a "permanent" jailbreak?
Posted by: K3lvin4SY - 11-03-2019, 11:16 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - Replies (4)

Everyone says CheckRa1n a tethered jailbreak. But that means you have to connect your device to your computer all the time, doesn’t it? Then, why is there so much hype about it when you have to do that?

And why is it a "permanent" Jailbreak if you lose it every time you restart your phone?

  A12 iOS 12.1.2 u0 3.5.6 uicache problem.
Posted by: suzughia - 11-03-2019, 02:58 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - Replies (1)

Hi all,

I was testing 3.7.0b3 but its drains to much battery so I come back to 3.5.6 ssh only jb.

I was installing Filza & Reprovision with ssh but uicache won't work, when i try to run it display this error message:

Quote:root@ (/jb/usr/bin)# uicache
2019-11-03 15:56:27.523 uicache[493:14267] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'launch path not accessible'
*** First throw call stack:

libc++abi.dylib: terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
Abort trap: 6
root@ (/jb/usr/bin)#

I've installed and injected Filza and Reprovision into trusted cache but I can't make then appear because I can't run uicache.

What does this error means? Has anyone a solution?

Thanks.

I've resolved using /jb/usr/bin/fzuicache

Heart iOS 13.2 / 13.1.3 / 13 / 12.4.1 CheckRa1n JAILBREAK RELEASE Date Confirmed!
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-03-2019, 05:26 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - Replies (9)

In this video, we're discussing the confirmed release date for the #CheckRa1n Jailbreak for iOS 13.2, iOS 13.1.3, iOS 13.1.2, iOS 13.1, iOS 13.0, iOS 12.4.2, iOS 12.4.1 and so on, for iPhone X, iPhone 8 / 8 Plus, iPhone 7 / 7 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 6S / Plus, iPhone 6 / Plus, iPhone 5S and iPhone 4S as well as all recent iPod Touches, and all A10 and lower iPads released. This Jailbreak comes with Cydia, Zebra, Installer 5 and possibly Saily which are all very good tweak installation applications (also known as package managers) and it cannot be patched by Apple.

The release date has been confirmed by Power Of Community just a few hours ago when one of the developers behind CheckRa1n Jailbreak has announced his talk at the security conference. The release will cover a lot of devices, but the A12 and A13 devices are not supported and will never be. #A12 and A13 are basically iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, as well as iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and XR. For these devices, staying on iOS 13.1.3 and lower is advised because of @S0rryMyBad's released kernel vulnerability which was patched on iOS 13.2

  ipad un jailbreak bug
Posted by: jemcovv - 11-03-2019, 01:34 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - Replies (1)

My ipad (5th gen 2017) kept rebooting randomly when jailbroken on ios 12.4 with uncover, so I restored and updated it to ios 13.2. The bug is still happening, is it because I didn't resore rootFS on the uncover app before removing my jailbreak? Should I downgrade to ios 12.4 and get uncover to restore rootFS? I talked to apple support about just the crashes on ios 13 and he told me to buy a new ipad cause I have a logic board issue, but I only faced this bug after I jailbroke, but of course I didn't mention that lol. Appreciate any suggestions.
Just checked diagnostics and it says I have a bug type 210, any fix?

What's the name of the new package manager that will be probably added to checkra1n? Checkra1n will support Cydia, Zebra, Installer, not Sileo and something like Siley, Syley? What is it?
Thanks

Video NEW iOS 13.1.3 / 13.0 / 12.4.1 Remote JAILBREAK Safari LPE PoC RELEASED! (A12 Too)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-01-2019, 04:08 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - Replies (1)

In this video, we're discussing @S0rryMyBad's latest release of a Local Privilege Escalation (LPE) Safari Proof Of Concept (PoC) bug that can be used for a Remote Jailbreak on iOS 13.1.3, iOS 13.1.2, iOS 13.1, iOS 13.0 and iOS 12.4.1. This bug was patched on iOS 13.2 by Apple, but it's usable on lower versions for all devices including the A12 and A13 devices such as iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.

While this is not a tfp0 kernel exploit, an LPE is a powerful thing that is a good head-start for the #A12 and #A13 devices that are not compatible with the CheckM8 exploit used on the rest of the devices for an iOS 13 Jailbreak. Therefore, the release is welcome.  According to security researcher @S0rryMyBad, this bug was intended for the Tianfu Coup, but it was patched before the event, so he decided to release it. The released datasheet is, however, in Chinese, so we'll need a proper translation before we could use it. Still, an interesting release. It's the first bug we get that works on A12 and A13 devices on iOS 13.x.
