iTunes bug/exploit to crash Activation Lock screen and proceed to Welcome screen.
Posted by: failbr34k - 11-21-2019, 12:18 AM - Forum: iCloud Bypass Research - Replies (18)

iPod 6th Gen. found a way to overrun iTunes so that the Activation Lock crashes and proceeds to Setting up the phone.

However, due to the nature of the bug, iTunes doesn't have lockdown on the UDID and will read from it but not perfom actions like restoring a backup.

I don't want to make the bug to be public before I've managed to pull something useful out of it or am able to hand it off to skilled hands to help nail it quick.

But thank's to checkra1n and itunes not ever seeing it coming (you would never be able to do this with an iPhone that wasn't bootrom pwnd) we might have a way of restoring backups which could lead to full unlock.

For now, this is where I get:

I open up the floor for discussion.

  iOS Updates while jailbroken
Posted by: gurkentier - 11-20-2019, 10:17 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - Replies (1)

Hello,

I wanted to know how to proceed with iOS updates when jailbroken. On the internet I could not find a precise answer to this question. Since I am jailbroken on checkra1n I want to have the latest iOS on my device if possible. So what is the most convenient way to perform an update?

Thanks in advance

Video How To Install Unc0ver JAILBREAK (NO Computer) With CYDIA (iOS 12.4 / 12.2 / 12)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-20-2019, 01:39 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Tutorials - No Replies

In today's video, I will show you how to install Unc0ver Jailbreak for iOS 12.4, iOS 12.2, iOS 12.1.x, iOS 12.0 and iOS 11.x without a computer, no revokes, using a service called AppValley which currently has the application signed. We've had quite a crisis in the past couple of days because all signing services were revoked and Cydia Impactor is currently broken, so people could not install the Unc0ver in any way. Thankfully, it's now once again possible to install the Jailbreak without PC and activate it on your iOS device.

Keep in mind that the #Unc0ver Jailbreak is a semi-untethered jailbreak which means it requires re-activation after every reboot as it does not persist upon reboot like a fully untethered jailbreak would. #Cydia Impactor is currently broken due to Apple changing a few things server-side, so using the signing services are the only way for the moment. This method is good because it can be done on the go, so you can enable your jailbreak anywhere you are.

Exclamation iOS 13.2.2 / 13.0 / 12.4.1 CheckRa1n JAILBREAK For Linux Achieved!/ Cydia Impactor
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-20-2019, 06:06 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, we have Jailbreak news coming from the CheckRa1n Team, saurik and even Apple. A new iOS version (iOS 13.2.3) has been released just a few hours ago, CheckRa1n Team has achieved CheckRa1n Jailbreak for Linux / Raspberry Pi, and saurik (Jay Freeman) has announced that he will be fixing the Cydia Impactor Xcode error that prevents people from re-signing their iOS applications. A lot to discuss in today's video, so tune in.

Of course, having #CheckRa1n achieved on Linux / Raspberry Pi (which runs Linux) is actually incredibly good because this alleviates the need for a macOS computer to run the Jailbreak. According to Luca Todesco, although he managed to get the USB controller to work properly, there are still things he needs to do, but they are definitely on the right track. Luca has demonstrated in a short video an iPhone connected to a Raspberry Pi which successfully loaded CheckRa1n Jailbreak.

Information iOS 13.2.2 / 13.2 /13.0 / 12.4.1CheckRa1n JAILBREAK: Major Update & Windows Info
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-18-2019, 05:31 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Releases - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing the latest #CheckRa1n Jailbreak Beta (Beta 0.9.5) released 2 days ago, which I have tested quite extensively on my test devices and appears to be pretty stable. The new Beta comes with major fixes for the MobileSubstrate / Tweaks, it detects OTA issues and much more. It's recommended that any CheckRa1n user switches to the latest version.

The update comes with fixes for the Apple ID being removed from the device upon jailbreak, and with improvements to the DFU entering sequence. The old one seems to have caused weird issues with biometrics (Touch ID / FaceID) not working, Taptic Engine not working, and other glitches. Please make sure you follow the new DFU entering instructions in the GUI. The CheckRa1n Team also gave an explanation for the battery pane issues - tweaks and their dependencies.

In this video, we're also addressing the Windows and Linux version, what needs to be done for it to be released, who works on it and what is the eta for it. Keep in mind that I will keep you updated here on the channel as things unfold. This beta has been tested thoroughly on iPhone 7 Plus, iPod Touch 7 (2019) and iPhone 6S.

(Tutorial) How to install MacOS on an Intel based PC to use checkra1n.
Posted by: failbr34k - 11-16-2019, 07:21 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Tutorials - Replies (11)

Before I begin, I would like to state a sad fact:

Some hardware may not be natively compatible with OSX. You might have to find or add third party support. Though some versions of OSX may work with hardware that might not work with another. For some of you, this may be a long process of trial and error, and for others, it may work first try. However, just because it doesn't work, doesn't mean it won't work. Always start by checking if someone has created third party support or if there are known workarounds.

Next I would also like to point out that you may run into problems with Mojave or higher if you use an nVidia card. I suggest High Sierra or lower as solution.

I will update this thread with as much information and methods as I can when I have time.

Now for the tutorial :

Method 1:

Using Windows to create the installation media. And booting OSX recovery to install via internet.

We start by getting a USB key large enough to fit the OSX installer. Safely a 16gig stick can be used for any current OSX release.

Then we will need a way to install clover to the USB key so we can load the OSX installer.
The easiest and most user friendly way is to download BootDiskUtility

Download:
http://cvad-mac.narod.ru/files/BDU_v2.1.2019.025b.zip

Open BDU as Admin

Select your USB drive and click format

Once complete, select DL Center and click the Update button to populate the Recovery list.
Wait until it is complete before continuing else it may generate errors.

When done, select your desired OS from the list and click DL

After the download is complete you will have a file ending in .hfs
Click the + next to your USB device in the list and select the second partition (by default BDU names it NONAME)
Now click Restore Partition and chose the .hfs file you downloaded.

Congratulations, you now have a bootable USB that loads Clover.

reboot your PC and hit your boot selection key or modify your CMOS to boot from USB first.

You should now be greated with the clover boot menu.

There may be additional configuration to get it to actually load OSX and I will get into that soon, for now, I encourage you all to visit the many forums dedicated to creating a Hackintosh. If you're lucky, it might work as is.

All the time I've got right now, good luck!

  How would I do this
Posted by: StinkeyMan - 11-16-2019, 04:04 AM - Forum: iOS Downgrade Corner - Replies (1)

I want to upgrade my iPhone 7 Plus because it’s the phone I use for jailbreaking messing around on, I wanted to upgrade to the latest version or iOS 13. Is there any way I can switch from 12.1.3 on unc0ver to checkra1n. (I prefer semi untreated jailbreaks or jailbreaks run via an app because I won’t need my computer and most of the time if the app doesn’t become unsigned I can use it portabaly)
