In today's video, I will show you how to enable Developer Mode on iOS 16.0 - 16.2 and even iOS 16.3. With iOS 16, Apple introduced the Developer Mode toggle for the first time on iOS. By default, the toggle is not enabled and any IPA application installed will not run. The user simply gets a message that the application cannot be opened because it comes from an unverified source.

To enable the new iOS 16 developer mode you have to make a trip to the Privacy Settings, toggle Developer Mode ON, and then restart the phone. Immediately after restart, once you unlock your device you will get a pop-up alert asking if you really want to enable developer mode for Xcode and such. You tap yes, and input the device passcode to confirm. After this, you will be able to use IPA apps from any source, but you are still bound to the 7 days limit of the free developer certificates.

Questions and Answers:
Q: Will my apps still expire after 7 days?
A: If you're using free developer certificates, then yes.
Q: I get an error that the application could not be verified and it doesn't install.
A: You are trying to install more than 3 apps with a free Apple developer certificate. Remove one.

A: It shouldn't. The developer mode toggle is part of iOS 16 and can be turned off at any moment. There's not much a developer app can damage.

In today's video, we're discussing the OTADelay method more and how you can use it to downgrade back to iOS 16.1.2. Normally, you would not be able to downgrade with OTADelay, just upgrade, however, iOS 15.6 RC has been signed for a very long time and it is still signed, which allows you to first downgrade to iOS 15.6 RC, then use OTADelay to jump to iOS 16.1.2 which is better for jailbreak. You may even stay on 15.6 RC as that might be even better for jailbreak purposes.

The signing window for iOS 15.6 is probably not going to last long, so it's best to move fast if you want to downgrade. Once iOS 15.6 RC stops being signed, OTADelay can no longer be used to downgrade from iOS 16.2 or iOS 16.3. Upgrades will still be possible.
