Question Should I update from iOS 11.3.1
Posted by: pliku - 06-30-2019, 08:53 AM - Forum: General iOS Discussion - Replies (1)

hi everyone
i have 2 devices  both 11.3.1 unc0ver, i dont have any blobs
But ios 11 is nearly 2 years old, would like to update to ios12 or ios13.  At the moment 12.3 and 12..3.1 are signed and still no jailbreak for them
What is better : update to ios 12 install tvOS profile and wait  or wait for ios 13 - some developers achive jailbreak on beta version, but we dont now will they release anything?
i wish update my system to never and dont miss the opportunity to be jailbroken on latest version

Lightbulb iOS Downgrade tool
Posted by: Comet - 06-30-2019, 02:16 AM - Forum: iOS Downgrade Corner - Replies (6)

I am developing an all-round solution to all 32-bit devices. This package will be able to be installed from my Cydia repository. More information soon! With this tool you will be able to downgrade the iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad 2, and iPad mini to iOS 8.4.1 from any other iOS. This will also support the downgrade to iOS 6.1.3 on the iPhone 4s, and iPad 2. This tool will work with any jailbreak that supports your device. This tool is mainly for people without a computer.

Information How to Jailbreak iOS 12.0 up to iOS 12.1.2
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 06-30-2019, 02:00 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Tutorials - Replies (4)

The iOS 12.0 up to iOS 12.1.2 range can be jailbroken with two different jailbreak utilities. The jailbreak utility that you need to use depends on what kind of device you are using. The A12 devices (iPhone XS, XS MAX, XR and the latest iPad Pros) require Chimera Jailbreak if you want to be able to install tweaks. Chimera comes with Sileo by default, a Cydia alternative that works pretty fine and looks modern.

Unc0ver Jailbreak does have support for A12 devices but it is limited to SSH and ROOT FS remount, so no tweaks, no Cydia and no themes for A12 users. For the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus and X, Unc0ver Jailbreak does come with Cydia, tweaks, and themes and it is recommended due to its stability.

Now that you know which device you're using, we can choose the appropriate tool.

The afore-mentioned jailbreak tools can be used to jailbreak the following iOS versions:
  • iOS 12.1.2
  • iOS 12.1.1
  • iOS 12.1
  • iOS 12.0.1
  • iOS 12.0
  • iOS 11.4.1*
  • iOS 11.4*
  • iOS 11.3.1*
  • iOS 11.3*
  • iOS 11.2.6*
  • iOS 11.2.5*
  • iOS 11.2.2*
  • iOS 11.2.1*
  • iOS 11.2*
  • iOS 11.1.2*
  • iOS 11.1.1*
  • iOS 11.1*
  • iOS 11.0.3*
  • iOS 11.0.2*
  • iOS 11.0.1*
  • iOS 11.0*
*) Unc0ver only.

In order to Jailbreak your device, follow the steps below:
  1. Download the appropriate jailbreak tool (Chimera or Unc0ver) from the links above.
  2. Download Cydia Impactor for Windows, macOS or Linux.
  3. Open Cydia Impactor and connect your iDevice to the computer using your USB cable. Make sure the device is unlocked.
  4. Drag and drop the .IPA file into Cydia Impactor.
  5. Sign in with your Apple ID to be able to sign the file (for CodeSign purposes). Cydia Impactor does not save the credentials.
  6. On your iDevice, navigate to Settings>General>Profiles and tap your e-mail / Unc0ver / Chimera.
  7. Trust the application by pressing the "Trust" button. An active internet connection is needed.
  8. Open the Chimera or Unc0ver Jailbreak.
  9. Press Jailbreak and wait. If the phone reboots after a few stages it is normal and expected.
  10. Once the device is back, open the jailbreak application again and tap "Jailbreak" again.
  11. Wait until the device resprings.
  12. Congrats! You are jailbroken.
For those of you who prefer visual tutorials, here's a video on my channel on how to jailbreak with Unc0ver.

And for Chimera users, here is a video tutorial on my channel on how to Jailbreak the A12 (iPhone XS, XS MAX, XR, latest iPad Pro) devices.

Question Common Jailbreak Questions
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 06-30-2019, 12:10 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - No Replies

Here is a list of the most commonly asked iOS Jailbreak questions. You may check here before posting. If you cannot find your question in here, please feel free to make a post :-)

Q: Are Sileo and Cydia the same thing?
A: No. Sileo and Cydia are both package installers used to install tweaks and themes, but they are different applications developed by different groups. Sileo is relatively new. Cydia has been going on since 2007, but it's no longer actively maintained by saurik, its original developer. Newer forks of Cydia are being made to support newer jailbreaks and iOS versions by third-party developers. In terms of technical usability, both Cydia and Sileo do the same thing - install packages.

Q: Can I downgrade from (insert version here) if I have the blobs for (insert old unsigned version here)?
A: Most likely not. Downgrades with SHSH blobs are possible after a version is unsigned, but only if you are on a version for which we have a tfp0 kernel exploit so that you can set the nonce. Even then, SEP, Baseband and possibly other components have to be compatible from a version to another. iOS 12's SEP and Baseband is not compatible with iOS 11, iOS 10, iOS 9 or older. In fact, iOS 12.3.1's SEP, for example, is not compatible even with iOS 12.0, so the range is quite limited.

Q: Why do we need to wait for tfp0 Kernel exploit?

A: The tfp0 kernel exploits are necessary for jailbreak development because tfp0 grants us read and write privileges over Kernel's memory thus allowing us to apply jailbreak patches such as Sandbox escapes, root privilege escalations, ROOT FS remount, CodeSign bypass and other patches required to make a fully functional jailbreak.

Q: Is jailbreaking legal?
A: Yes. 2012 and 2015 DMCA exemptions make Jailbreaking your iOS device legal, however, Apple may deny servicing a jailbroken device. One can, however, restore the device or remove the jailbreak before bringing the device for service.

More to come!
