Question iOS 13 / 13.1 JAILBREAK: Should You Downgrade To 12.4.1 or Stay? / What About A12
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-17-2019, 01:13 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing whether you should stay on iOS 13 Beta / iOS 13.1 Beta or downgrade while you still can to iOS 12.4.1 if you want to Jailbreak your iOS device in the near future. We're also discussing whether you should update to iOS 12.4.1 from iOS 12.3 or iOS 12.3.1 if you're still there. This video should help you make an educated decision on what is the best #iOS version to be on if you wanna #jailbreak and you missed the iOS 12.4 opportunity where Apple re-introduced an older bug by mistake and allowed #Unc0ver Jailbreak to be updated for 12.4. iOS 12.4.1 is actually a very good candidate for a jailbreak. I explain in details through the video.

As for the A12 devices, it's complicated. See, even though tfp0 kernel exploit has been announced and will be released by ZecOps for iOS 12.4.1, and that's all it takes for iPhone 5S to iPhone X to be jailbroken in one day after the release, for the A12 devices (iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and XS MAX) it's not so simple. They also need a PAC bypass (or what Unc0ver uses to work around that). But even so, I still advise A12 users to downgrade from iOS 13 and iOS 13.1 betas back to iOS 12.4.1. An iOS 13 jailbreak will likely take much longer to come, especially on A12.

Star NEW iOS 12.4.1 JAILBREAK Exploit (With tfp0) ACHIEVED & RELEASE COMING!
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-16-2019, 02:02 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - Replies (5)

In today's video, we have pretty surprising news to discuss about the iOS 12.4.1 #Jailbreak status. A new kernel exploit with tfp0 which would basically jailbreak #iOS 12.4.1 fully has been achieved and will be released in the next couple of months by @ZecOps. This was pretty unexpected. As you probably know, iOS 12.4.1 has been released by Apple to patch the bug they should have patched back in iOS 12.3 (and they did, but they reintroduced it on 12.4 by mistake), so there are no major changes between iOS 12.4 and iOS 12.4.1 other than Ned Williamson's bug being patched, which means once this tfp0 exploit is released, Unc0ver can be updated for iOS 12.4.1 in literally one day.

The tfp0 term stands for task_for_pid(0), a function which when passed the argument 0 should not return the task port because 0 is the kernel and one can't have kernel task port, but since the exploit runs, the kernel task port is obtained and so Kernel Memory Read / Write can be done arbitrarily thus enabling a jailbreak to be applied. So a tfp0 kernel exploit is 99% of what you need for a jailbreak.

iOS 12.4 / 12.2 JAILBREAK A12 Status Update & BEST iOS Version To Be On
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-14-2019, 02:28 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing the current status of the A12 Jailbreak (iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and iPhone XS MAX #Jailbreak), as the past couple of days seem to have gotten people confused. With Apple closing the signing window for iOS 12.4, many people now have questions on what they should do if they did not update to 12.4, especially if they run iOS 12.3, iOS 12.3.1 or even iOS 12.4.1. There have also been a couple of important updates from the Unc0ver Team lately, which are worth noting, so let's clarify in this video what is the current status of the A12 jailbreak and what you should expect.

There are currently three major jailbreaks available - the #Unc0ver, Chimera, and RootlessJB. Unfortunately, RootlessJB does not support #A12 devices. #Chimera was created with A12 in mind and was, in fact, the first iOS 12.1.2 and lower A12 Jailbreak, but it has not been updated for #iOS 12.1.3 and newer and Coolstar's intentions are unknown and hard to interpret, as he announced a few months ago that he's not interested in supporting iOS 12.1.3 - 12.2 for A12 due to the PAC bypass required. He has since acquired an A12 device and started working on an iOS 12.4 A12 jailbreak, but not much is known, so we'll leave it there.

Video iOS 12.4 / 12.0 New RootlessJB JAILBREAK & NEW Cydia Alternative (Saily) RELEASE
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-13-2019, 01:40 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Releases - No Replies

In today's video, we have three main topics to discuss. At first, a new important update to the iOS 12.0 - 12.4 RootlessJB Jailbreak has been released by Brandon Plank, a new Cydia Alternative / Package Manager called Saily has been released, and iOS 12.4 has been unsigned by Apple yesterday morning, so downgrading to it is no longer possible. We discuss all these in today's video.

The new package manager is a nice addition because it also supports #RootlessJB which previously had no package manager of its own. In fact, a version of RootlessJB has been released by Lakr, the creator of Saily which can have the Saily package manager by just installing the secondary #Saily IPA over it. Saily looks stunning with its #iOS 12 design and the repos work smoothly and with no issues. A fair comparison would be with Sileo, rather than Cydia, as the design is very new and very nice.

Please do keep in mind that although RootlessJB is not detectable by most apps that have jailbreak detection, it is still a developer-oriented jailbreak which may not be as easy to use as Unc0ver or Chimera. User's caution is advised.

Video Apple Event Recap / News: New iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, New iPad, Apple Watch 5
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-10-2019, 10:44 PM - Forum: General iOS Discussion - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing the latest news coming straight from the #Apple #Event which took place on September 10, 2019, at 10:00 am PDT. Apple held their annual event where they've unveiled the new iPhone 11, #iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, the new iPad 7th Generation, and the new Apple Watch Series 5 with all their new features. In this video, we're covering the most important changes as well as the prices for the announced devices.

The iPhone 11 starts at a surprisingly lower price this year, with $699 being the price for the base model. The iPhone 11 Pro starts at $999 and the iPhone 11 Pro Max starts at $1099. The devices are available starting with September 20, and they will run iOS 13 on the new A13 Bionic chip. The entire iPhone 11 lineup seems to boast great new cameras. The iPhone 11 base model has two 12 MP cameras, a wide one and an ultra-wide one. The Pro model has a third 12 MP telephoto camera.

The new iPad is nothing special. A bigger Retina screen, smart connector support for the keyboard and other such accessories, but 3 generations behind SoC, the A10 chip used in the iPhone 7 / 7 Plus. While not massively old, it's not exactly top of the line. The price is, however, surprisingly good, at $329.

Brick How to save SHSH on A12 devices from the command line
Posted by: suzughia - 09-10-2019, 03:08 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Tutorials - Replies (7)

Hello everyone in this tutorial I will desscribe how I save my shsh blobs for my A12 device.

My devices is an iPhone XS and it runs 12.1.2 with unc0ver.

I assume that you are on a jailbreable version and you have already jailbroken your device
so we will start from an already jbroken one.

The first thig to do is to ensure that unc0ver has the "right" generator setted,
as default generator unc0ver use "1111111111111111", let's check it out.

In unc0ver 3.x:

  • Open Unc0ver got to settings
  • Ensure that "Overwrite Boot Nonce" is set to 0x1111111111111111
  • Close the app.

Now we will chango to MacOS, I run Mojave 10.14.6.

The easiest way to install libmobiledevice and other usefull tool it adding the tap mantained by stek29.

If you don't have already installed Brew you can simply install it executing this command:
Quote:/usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebr...er/install)"

after that we will update && upgrade brew befor adding stek29 tap, on the command line execute:
Quote:brew update
brew upgrade

and then add stek29 tap
Quote:brew tap stek29/idevice

You can find a brief list of the packages here: https://github.com/stek29/homebrew-idevice

Now we can add some usefull packages:
Quote:brew install libimobiledevice --HEAD
brew install libirecovery
brew install tsschecker-s0uthwest

Now we can check the APnonce used by our A12 devices for requesting SHSH blobs.

Let's use our fresh tools.

Connect your devices to your mac and pair it if not already done.

Let's grag our UniqueDeviceID:
Quote:ideviceinfo | grep UniqueDeviceID

Put the phone in recovery mode:
Quote:ideviceenterrecovery UDID

Let's grab our nonce:
Quote:irecovery -q | grep NONC

and then reboot our phone:
Quote:irecovery -n

Now that we have all the picies that we need we can save our A12 blobls from the command line:
Quote:tsschecker -d iPhone11,2 --boardconfig d321ap -e Q022001100333E00 -i 12.4 -s --generator 0x1111111111111111 --apnonce 0000001010101010100101010101010101010101010010101010010101010101

-e "we will specify our device ECID"
--apnonce "we will specify our apnonce"

That's all folks.

I will appreciate if anyone would point out error and omission, thanks!

Star iOS 12.4 / 12.0 / 11 Unc0ver JAILBREAK HUGE Updates Released! (Stability + A12 Primer
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-10-2019, 02:02 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Releases - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing the latest Unc0ver Jailbreak released by the #Unc0ver Team / Pwn20wnd, as they are pretty massive. In fact, the Unc0ver Team calls this update "the biggest stability and reliability update to unc0ver ever", so you know it's worth updating to it, but let's see exactly why. Aside from a lot of patches that have been rewritten by the Unc0ver team for better performance, we also get to have the first steps towards a proper A12 Jailbreak on iOS 12.4 and lower, as this update contains #Cydia and Cydia resources that support A12 devices internally (not available for the user yet, just a primer for when the actual A12 release is out) and it also contains a few other A12 changes to basically prepare the ground for the A12 release which comes soon.

Following the v3.6.0 which contains a ton of updates, Pwn20wnd also released v3.6.2 and v3.6.3 yesterday, which address a bug with A7 and A8 devices no longer jailbreaking properly. At the time I am making this video, the v3.6.3 build is the latest available from the official Unc0ver Jailbreak website, or from the GitHub repo. The Unc0ver Team have also finally started their own Twitter handle where you can officially follow the whole team, rather than just Pwn20wnd. I recommend you unfollow other "Unc0ver #Jailbreak or Unc0ver Team" accounts as those are not official. The official one has the @Unc0verTeam handle.

Star 5 Very Important Things To Do After You JAILBREAK Your iOS Device
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-10-2019, 05:54 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Tutorials - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing five very important things to do right after jailbreaking your device to ensure your iOS device is safe and working efficiently. Jailbreaking iOS 12, iOS 11 or iOS 10 is a nice thing and while you get a ton of benefits from jailbreaking, such as themes, customization of the UI and whole features that would otherwise not be part of iOS, jailbreaking also weakens your device's security pretty seriously, and since not all tweaks are made equal, some of them may not play so nice on an incompatible device, that's why the tips in this video are carefully chosen to ensure your data is safe and protected and you are able to recover from a major fault such as a bootloop with just a few scratches Tongue

There's more to jailbreaking #iOS that installing #Cydia by using #Unc0ver Jailbreak or installing Sileo using Chimera Jailbreak. It takes some experience to get to know which repos are trustworthy and which tweaks work on which iOS versions. Since there's no unified way of knowing which tweaks work on which version, it's always a good idea to be proactive and ensure that you can recover from a major issue caused by a tweak, so basically having a plan B. In this video, I'll help you build at least a part of that preparedness plan.
