Information iOS 13.2.2 / 13.2 /13.0 / 12.4.1CheckRa1n JAILBREAK: Major Update & Windows Info
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-18-2019, 05:31 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Releases - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing the latest #CheckRa1n Jailbreak Beta (Beta 0.9.5) released 2 days ago, which I have tested quite extensively on my test devices and appears to be pretty stable. The new Beta comes with major fixes for the MobileSubstrate / Tweaks, it detects OTA issues and much more. It's recommended that any CheckRa1n user switches to the latest version.

The update comes with fixes for the Apple ID being removed from the device upon jailbreak, and with improvements to the DFU entering sequence. The old one seems to have caused weird issues with biometrics (Touch ID / FaceID) not working, Taptic Engine not working, and other glitches. Please make sure you follow the new DFU entering instructions in the GUI. The CheckRa1n Team also gave an explanation for the battery pane issues - tweaks and their dependencies.

In this video, we're also addressing the Windows and Linux version, what needs to be done for it to be released, who works on it and what is the eta for it. Keep in mind that I will keep you updated here on the channel as things unfold. This beta has been tested thoroughly on iPhone 7 Plus, iPod Touch 7 (2019) and iPhone 6S.

(Tutorial) How to install MacOS on an Intel based PC to use checkra1n.
Posted by: failbr34k - 11-16-2019, 07:21 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Tutorials - Replies (11)

Before I begin, I would like to state a sad fact:

Some hardware may not be natively compatible with OSX. You might have to find or add third party support. Though some versions of OSX may work with hardware that might not work with another. For some of you, this may be a long process of trial and error, and for others, it may work first try. However, just because it doesn't work, doesn't mean it won't work. Always start by checking if someone has created third party support or if there are known workarounds.

Next I would also like to point out that you may run into problems with Mojave or higher if you use an nVidia card. I suggest High Sierra or lower as solution.

I will update this thread with as much information and methods as I can when I have time.

Now for the tutorial :

Method 1:

Using Windows to create the installation media. And booting OSX recovery to install via internet.

We start by getting a USB key large enough to fit the OSX installer. Safely a 16gig stick can be used for any current OSX release.

Then we will need a way to install clover to the USB key so we can load the OSX installer.
The easiest and most user friendly way is to download BootDiskUtility

Download:
http://cvad-mac.narod.ru/files/BDU_v2.1.2019.025b.zip

Open BDU as Admin

Select your USB drive and click format

Once complete, select DL Center and click the Update button to populate the Recovery list.
Wait until it is complete before continuing else it may generate errors.

When done, select your desired OS from the list and click DL

After the download is complete you will have a file ending in .hfs
Click the + next to your USB device in the list and select the second partition (by default BDU names it NONAME)
Now click Restore Partition and chose the .hfs file you downloaded.

Congratulations, you now have a bootable USB that loads Clover.

reboot your PC and hit your boot selection key or modify your CMOS to boot from USB first.

You should now be greated with the clover boot menu.

There may be additional configuration to get it to actually load OSX and I will get into that soon, for now, I encourage you all to visit the many forums dedicated to creating a Hackintosh. If you're lucky, it might work as is.

All the time I've got right now, good luck!

  How would I do this
Posted by: StinkeyMan - 11-16-2019, 04:04 AM - Forum: iOS Downgrade Corner - Replies (1)

I want to upgrade my iPhone 7 Plus because it’s the phone I use for jailbreaking messing around on, I wanted to upgrade to the latest version or iOS 13. Is there any way I can switch from 12.1.3 on unc0ver to checkra1n. (I prefer semi untreated jailbreaks or jailbreaks run via an app because I won’t need my computer and most of the time if the app doesn’t become unsigned I can use it portabaly)

Video iOS 13.2 / 13.1.3 / 13.0 JAILBREAK New Kernel tfp0 PoC RELEASED (A12 Too)
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-15-2019, 09:33 PM - Forum: Jailbreak News - No Replies

In this video, we're discussing a couple of important kernel vulnerabilities that were released by SSD SecuriTeam for iOS 12.3.1 all the way up to iOS 13.2. The vulnerabilities are chained together to achieve a sandbox escape, a kernel exploit and a root shell, which pretty much lets you see how powerful they are. Since the vulnerabilities were patched in iOS 13.2, iOS 13.1.3 and lower is a good version to stay on, especially if you have an A12 or an A13 device.

The kernel vulnerability is a bit hard to exploit on A12 and A13 devices due to PAC (Pointer Authenticated Codes), but other strategies might be usable, so it's advised that people who use iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro do not update to iOS 13.2.2. Once tfp0 is achieved with these vulnerabilities, updating Unc0ver is relatively easy, so if you're not a fan of semi-tethered CheckRa1n (which by the way is pretty stable), and you prefer semi-untethered jailbreaks like Unc0ver, you may be lucky.

Video iOS 13.2.2 / 13 / 12.4 CheckRa1n JAILBREAK: How To Fix Most Errors / Unjailbreak
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-15-2019, 01:44 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - Replies (5)

In today's video, we're discussing how you can fix most errors with the CheckRa1n Jailbreak as well as the Cydia errors that may occur on iOS 13.2.2, iOS 13.2, iOS 13.1, iOS 13.0, iOS 12.4.1, iOS 12.4, and iOS 12.3. In this tutorial, I will also walk you through the procedure to unjailbreak the device back to stock iOS if you need to reinstall CheckRa1n or if tweaks start to behave badly. In this video, I will also explain what is the Safe Mode booting and what it is used for.

Of course, like any other iOS Jailbreak, the #CheckRa1n can have issues from time to time and some tweaks may even send you in a bootloop, but worry not. Not only this jailbreak cannot be patched, so you can simply restore to the latest version and you would still be able to jailbreak, but the tool itself contains a slew of features designed to make fixing issues with the jailbreak that much quicker.

Follow the video carefully if your jailbreak is acting up, tweaks do not work, the device bootloops once jailbroken with CheckRa1n or Cydia fails to load after jailbreak. Also, if you want to completely remove the CheckRa1n Jailbreak, in this video I will show you how.

Exclamation iOS 13.2.2 / 13.0 / 12.4.1 CheckRa1n JAILBREAK: HUGE Update RELEASED! Update Now!
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 11-14-2019, 06:28 AM - Forum: Jailbreak Releases - No Replies

In this video, we're discussing the release of a huge update to the CheckRa1n iOS Jailbreak, compatible with iOS 13.2.2, iOS 13.2, iOS 13.1, iOS 13.0, iOS 12.4.2, iOS 12.4.1, iOS 12.3.1 and iOS 12.3. This update fixes a TON of bugs and improves the Jailbreak dramatically. A pretty significant list of bugs was addressed according to the official #CheckRa1n website, and the jailbreak should now be as stable as it gets. This is a very important update and I urge every CheckRa1n user to update by following the instructions in the video.

This new beta also contains a rewritten loading mechanism for the Cydia Substrate which makes the jailbreak much more stable. Also, it includes a way to disable the tweaks and the substrate with a NO-Substrate switch in the CheckRa1n application. This is very useful for debugging malfunctioning tweaks, or tweaks that sent you in a bootloop upon activation. The update also fixes a few issues with the app not loading properly on some macOS devices. This is a semi-tethered jailbreak which currently requires a macOS machine to deploy. According to the official website of CheckRa1n, a Windows version is currently in the works.
