Star iOS 13.1.1 / 13.0 / 12.4.1 JAILBREAK Can Be Made With CheckM8 BootROM Exploit
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-29-2019, 03:30 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - Replies (3)

In today's video, we're discussing about the jailbreak possibilities offered by the #CheckM8 BootRom exploit released yesterday by developer @axi0mX on Twitter. The exploit supports iPhone 4S all the way up to iPhone X and iPhone 8, on all iOS versions supported by these devices and it cannot be patched. With it, a jailbreak on any iOS version including the newly released iOS 13.0, iOS 13.1 and iOS 13.1.1 is possible. In this video, I detail how and what are the possibilities, including CFW (Custom iOS Firmware), Jailbreak via semi-tethered tool or Downgrades.

Axi0mX's exploit has made headlines yesterday on all major iOS news websites because it's the biggest release in the history of iOS and Jailbreaking. This will change the iOS Jailbreak landscape for the years to come. Unfortunately, Apple caught this exploit a long time ago and patched it in iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone 11 line. Still, for iPhone X and older, this unlocks a world of possibilities for downgrades to any iOS, DualBoot, installing Android on iPhone, and any other actions one can think of. Now you truly own the device you paid for.

Star How to use the Checkm8 BootROM Exploit (iPwnDFU) on iOS 8 up to iOS 13.1.1
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-28-2019, 10:38 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Tutorials - Replies (33)

Hello everyone, GeoSn0w here.

As you probably are aware, on September 27, hacker @axi0mX released his checkm8 SecureROM (BootROM) exploit which is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 / 6 Plus, iPhone 6S / 6S Plus, iPhone 7 / 7 Plus, iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and iPhone X, as well as all iPods from iPod Touch 5 to iPod Touch 7th Generation, and all iPads that are not A12.

Checkm8 exploit doesn't support the A12 and A13 devices (iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro MAX).

All the rest of the devices are supported from the first iOS version they run (iOS 7, iOS 8, iOS 9, etc.) all the way to the latest that is available (currently iOS 13.1.1).

Here's how to use iPwnDFU to put a newer iOS device running iOS 13.1.1 (or any iOS for that matter) in Pwned DFU mode to be able to restore a CFW for CFW iCloud Bypass, Jailbreak or Downgrades.

Follow the steps below on a Mac or on Linux. No Windows tool for now.

1) Download iPwnDFU from here:
https://github.com/axi0mX/ipwndfu
3) Unpack the ZIP file on your Desktop.
4) Open Terminal and run "cd /PathToYourExtractedFile" (change PathToYourExtractedFile to the actual path).
5) Connect your iDevice to the computer using a USB cable.
6) Put the device in DFU Mode. Before iPhone 7, you do it by pressing and holding Power + Home until the screen is off, wait a few seconds, release the POWER button but keep pressing the HOME button for another 10 seconds. the screen should remain black. For iPhone 7 and newer, you need to press and hold POWER + VOLUME DOWN until the screen is off, wait a few seconds, release the POWER button and keep pressing the VOLUME DOWN button for another 10 seconds. The screen should remain black. Do not disconnect the device.
7) In the Terminal, run "./ipwndfu -p". If you get an error, run it again until you get a message telling you the iDevice is now in Pwned DFU mode.
8) The Pwned DFU mode will remain until the phone reboots. You should not see anything on the screen (black screen).

This basically it. You can now DUMP the ScureROM, demote the device to enable JTAG, and soon you'll be able to restore CFWs, do downgrades, etc.

I got locked out of my snapchat account for 12 hours and they stated I was using a 3rd party app. I had unsub, liberty lite, and tweak configurator on to block substrate to snapchat! could this be the problem? and what should I do not to get banned again?

Exclamation iOS BootROM Exploit RELEASED! JAILBREAK ANY iOS FOREVER + DualBoot & Downgrades
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-28-2019, 02:51 AM - Forum: Jailbreak News - Replies (5)

In today's video, I have massive #news coming from iOS developer @axi0mX. Today, out of the blue he has released a full BootROM (SecureROM) exploit for iPhone 4S all the way up to iPhone X, which means it supports iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, 5C, 6, 6S, 7, 8 and X. All these devices on any iOS version that existed or that will exist. BootROM exploits cannot be patched because the BootROM is actually written into the chip itself. Apple cannot update that and the BootROM is responsible for loading all the rest of the iOS components that Apple can update. This means #Jailbreak forever, downgrades to unsigned iOS versions without SHSH2 blobs, DualBoot, even Android on iPhone.

To understand how epic this release is, the last such exploit was released 9 years ago (limera1n exploit) for iPhone 4 and lower, and to this day, it was not patched on those devices because it cannot be patched. A12 and A13 devices (iPhone XS, iPhone XS MAX, iPhone XR and iPhone 11) are not compatible, unfortunately. But for the rest of the devices, you no longer need to wait for tfp0 when a new iOS version is out. It can be jailbroken right away.

There is, however, one major caveat to this. It's a tethered USB exploit, which means that if you jailbreak or downgrade with this, you will need a computer to power on the phone every time you reboot, like back in the days of RedSn0w. Even with this caveat, this release is the biggest release in the history of iOS supporting literally millions of iOS devices forever. We're about to experience a new golden era for the iOS Jailbreak community. This is completely independent of the iOS version.

  Should I update my 11
Posted by: brandednorton - 09-27-2019, 07:50 PM - Forum: Jailbreak Help - Replies (3)

Hi guys. I am wondering, since I checked the security notes of 13.1 and 13.1.1, nothing was patched that would be useful right? So I ask you guys, should I just update? If nothing’s patched than no downside right?

Star iOS 12.4.2 RELEASED & Best Versions To Stay On For a JAILBREAK / tfp0
Posted by: GeoSn0w - 09-27-2019, 03:17 AM - Forum: General iOS Discussion - No Replies

In today's video, we're discussing Apple's unusual release of iOS 12.4.2 for 14 devices. The build only contains patches for 1 single bug in Foundation found by Google Project Zero. The #iOS 12.4.2 is available for iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, a couple of iPads and iPod Touch 6th Generation, but not for any iOS 13 compatible devices. In fact, right now, for the devices compatible with iOS 13, iOS 12.4.1 is signed along with iOS 13 and iOS 13.1, but no iOS 12.4.2. For the devices that cannot run iOS 13, iOS 12.4.2 and iOS 12.4.1 are currently signed. In this video, we're also discussing which iOS version should you stay on if you wanna #jailbreak.

iOS 12.4.2 doesn't seem to come with battery improvements or any other performance enhancements over iOS 12.4.1 or even iOS 12.4. If you're currently running iOS 12.4.1 and you wanna jailbreak in the future, it's probably a good idea not to update. iOS 12.4.2 patches a bug from Google Project Zero, but it's not a kernel vulnerability. Not tfp0, not a sandbox escape either. Just some arbitrary code execution. While usable in a way or another for a jailbreak on iOS 12.4.1, there's no need for that vulnerability as tfp0 has been already announced by ZecOps.
