The last checkm8 compatible device has finally been dropped by Apple with iOS 26 Developer Beta 1, which drops support for iPad 7Th Generation. Checkm8 was released over 5 years ago by developer axi0mx and has powered jailbreak tools like CheckRa1n, PaleRa1n, and even turdus_merula.
It's currently in development, but it was tested and confirmed working as far as iOS 26 Developer Beta 1 and iOS 18.5 on all devices.
