A release from security researcher Pattern-F will speed up the development for #Odyssey Jailbreak by A LOT. According to Coolstar, the developer of Odyssey Jailbreak, once pattern-F releases their Pre-Jailbreak project, they can turn it into a fully working jailbreak very quickly as this is exactly what Coolstar needs.
This is pretty good news, considering that Pattern-F has announced that they're releasing their Pre-Jailbreak project with AMFID bypass and stable Kernel Read / Write primitives in a couple of days. This is going to be an open-source project and as such, can be used to update Odyssey much quicker. This will drastically reduce the time needed to develop the jailbreak tool and thus represents huge news for the jailbreak community since we're no longer talking about months of waiting.
