iTunes bug/exploit to crash Activation Lock screen and proceed to Welcome screen.
#1
iPod 6th Gen. found a way to overrun iTunes so that the Activation Lock crashes and proceeds to Setting up the phone.

However, due to the nature of the bug, iTunes doesn't have lockdown on the UDID and will read from it but not perfom actions like restoring a backup.

I don't want to make the bug to be public before I've managed to pull something useful out of it or am able to hand it off to skilled hands to help nail it quick.

But thank's to checkra1n and itunes not ever seeing it coming (you would never be able to do this with an iPhone that wasn't bootrom pwnd) we might have a way of restoring backups which could lead to full unlock.

For now, this is where I get:

I open up the floor for discussion.

honest answer gets the bug, I'll throw what I've pieced together so far, it looks promising, i hope it's not a dead end.
do you have an email or way I can contact you a little more directly?

Is anyone able to see their locked device on iCloud.com, in the FindMyiPhone area?

Are you able to put it into "Lost Mode"? I was thinking that might wipe the old information from the servers.

i don't think so. it needs to be unlinked either by the owner via password or by apple via a lot of trouble.

however, restoring a backup would have itunes sign everything. but a lot of serial/ID checks built in to apps now, i don't think facetime will work on a blacklisted serial for example.
