Broken Siri
#1
After installing Assistant + Siri no longer responds when I say hey Siri the screen goes black and nothing happens.
I have tried everything I can think of including restoring RootFS and still can’t get Siri back.

iPhone X 12.0.1 running Uncover,
Thanks

Does Siri start if you disable Hey Siri?
Also, is Siri also not showing in non-jailbroken mode?

Damn, that is odd. Looks like some cache file got messed up, hopefully not an actual Siri-supporting file.
Do a backup of all your data in iTunes. When doing the backup, make sure to select password-protected backup because that will also save all your apps and their data so that you can restore everything back.

Next, after the backup, run ROOT FS restore in Unc0ver Jailbreak.
Upon reboot, navigate to Settings and erase all contents and settings.
Setup the device and see if Siri works. If it does, restore the previously made backup and Jailbreak again.

If I erase all content and settings won’t that require me to also update the phone?
The only way I can erase everything without update would be to use find my iPhone and erase everything.

Nope. The iTunes Restore does that. The Erase Contents and Settings option only clears out user data. The iOS remains the same.

So I tried Restore Root FS and erase all content and settings and it acted like it was going to start the reset then stopped and just restarted?
So then I decided to use find my iPhone and erase iPhone I attempted that about 5 times and it never reset anything.
Hooked up to my Mac and it won’t let me back up the iPhone gives me an error.
Hooked to imazing and also won’t back up it said I had a partial back-up in iCloud that needed deleted.
So I deleted all my back-ups, then guess what happened NOTHING I won’t let me delete or reset I even logged out of iCloud and unlinked the iPhone from the account and still won’t work!
Talk to text also doesn’t work and can’t enable Siri.
Anymore ideas on WTF I got going on would be greatly appreciated.
