Followed all the directions for unclover installation, had some difficulty getting altstore on the iphone but got it, when i tap the icon the phone just goes black and then comes right back to the screen that shows the other apps, deleted it and reloaded it but same results, what am im doing wrong?

What ios and iphone are you using?
Did you trust the developer in the system settings on your device?

pardon my spelling uncover is the jailbreak i would like to install, you have to do it using the altstore app,
the iphone is the se model, the ios is 13.3.1
if anyone knows anything about jailbreaking i would think they would know right away what im doing wrong,
when i load the alstore app onto the iphone the app will not do anything, when you tap it the phone just goes black for a second then comes right back , the app will not install, i have removed it and reinstalled it but it does the same thing.

Have you trusted it in the iphones settings?
If you dont trust it then it will not open as it wont have the privlages to run.
Goto settings then goto general then goto profiles and trust the developer it should run then.

yes i had to do that before it would let me load it on the phone

No not in altstore in the Iphone under your settings goto general then goto profiles and then find the email address you used in altstore and click on it then click on trust.
