Hello,
I have an iPad Air 2 (Wifi)
Device Identifier: iPad5,3
Board Config: j81ap
on iOS 13.5.1
running Checkra1n 0.11.0
I didn't update to 13.7 or 14 as I didn't know if it will be worth it.
I have the blobs from 11.3.1 until 14.0.1
I think the best idea is to upgrade from 13.5.1 to 13.7.
What do you think and how shall I do this?
Is there any noncesetter for A8X (i believe this is what i have) on iOS 13.5.1 checkra1n?
And shall I update to 14.0.1 instead since it is supported by checkra1n for my device? Geosnow said to avoid iOS 14 even on checkrain devices due to the extra security measures added (but I don't understand why if checkra1n already supports it for my device?) Can someone explain?
Another reason I do not want to update to 14.0.1 and go instead to 13.7 is due to compatibility reasons. I do not want to lose my tweaks. So shall I go to 13.7 via noncesetter, 14.0.1 or remain on 13.5.1?
Thank you in advance!
As far as i know the ios 13 sep is not compatible with ios 14 so you wont be able to upgrade or downgrade to any ios 13 version because the sep for ios 13 is no longer signed.
If your device is supported on checkra1n you might as well update to ios 14.0.1 and why not have the latest version if its jailbreakable by checkra1in?

Thank you! I guess I should have done it since 13.7 was still signed.
I don't know. GeoSnow said that iOS 14 added some extra security measures and I should avoid it. But I still don't know why, since checkra1n 0.11.0 says it supports A8X on iOS 14
Currently I am holding back due to tweak compatibility. Waiting for them to update support for iOS 14 first, then update!

If your device is performing fine then why update it and risk losing all your tweaks?

For the iOS 14 features (dot next to camera when it is being used... widgets...hide apps..etc..)
