I wanted to update from 12.4 Unc0ver to 13.3 CheckRa1n today. While doing so I was adviced to restore rootfs before updating. After restoring rootfs my Face ID has completely stopped working. Even after updating to 13.3 the Face ID still does not work.
Can anyone help me?
So did you try to set it again with new appearance or it just gives you an error forcing to type a passcode?

Just says "Face ID is not available. Try again later". Whenever I reboot the phone I get a notification saying "Unable to activate Face ID on this iPhone."

Kinda sounds like a hardware issue to me. Have you tried a full erase restore? Do a backup first.
(On A12 / A13 this is quite radical and may result in waiting a lot for a jailbreak but it at least confirms if Face ID is working, if not, you know to send it for service)
