I updated my checkra1n jailbreak to 9.7.0 and when I updated my firmware all of my tweaks where gone so is there a way to update my jailbreak without losing my tweaks.

You probably mean 0.9.7 and tweaks shouldn't be affected by this update. Did you accidentally check the checkmark that disables tweaks inside the app? Next to the Verbose boot.
Checkra1n is a semi-untethered like Unc0ver, what this mean? When you restart your iDevice your tweaks are disable but still in the phone, but when you upgrade your iDevice automatically your lose all your Jailbreak data, but the best way to "back up" your tweaks is if you use Cydown

CheckRa1n is semi-tethered. Semi-untethered = app-based. You open an app after reboot to Jailbreak. Here you need a computer. But yeah, both ways tweaks get disabled after reboot if you don't re-enable the jailbreak.
