In today's video, we're discussing an astonishing release in the jailbreak community: a new untether released for iOS 11 called Acorn, by saurik, Siguza, littlelailo, Brandon Azad and ZecOps. This allows for an untethered iOS 11 Jailbreak to be created, from iOS 11.0 up to iOS 11.4.1 for all supported devices. An #untethered jailbreak is a jailbreak that you only have to enable once and it persists even after a reboot.

The instructions provided on the project open-source page on GitHub are simple: Add iOS racoon executable and dyld_shared_cache_arm64 to device/ and type make. Then collect racoon.conf and stage2.bin and enjoy. The project itself seems to be based on a talk littlelailo had recently at a security conference where he outlines the bugs and how they work together to achieve untethered and unsandboxed code execution on iOS 11 devices. So, if you still have an iOS 11 device, do not update it. You may soon be able to experience untethered jailbreaks again. No revokes, no resigning, no re-jailbreak after each reboot.
