In this video, we're finally discussing spv's untethered vulnerability release. As some of you may know, developer spv has released on Twitter two different untether bugs for iOS 9 up to iOS 14.7.1 or even iOS 14.8. They've essentially been patched in iOS 15, but work fine on iOS 14.x. In this video, we'll take a look at those untether bugs and talk about what they can be used for in terms of jailbreaking.
It seems that iOS 14 has been prone to some serious untether / persistence vulnerabilities lately as Linus Henze will release soon an untether exploit of their own, and now SPV has released two different untether methods. Untethered jailbreaks are the greatest because they don't get revoked, don't expire, don't require resigning any IPA file and they re-activate after reboot. An untethered iOS jailbreak is a persistent jailbreak that requires no effort to re-enable.
